Celavive Postbiotic Skincare Line

Project Scope
Overview:
This skincare line was developed for extremely sensitive skin, using prebiotics and other ingredients formulated to protect the skin’s barrier. The objective was to make this product different from their premium anti-aging line. With a lower price point, this product line’s target demographic is specific to targeting acne and rosacea, as this product line calms, hydrates, and protects the skin barrier.

Concept packaging designs for Celavive Prebiotic skincare line.
My Solution
I researched and analyzed the competition to visually position these products just right. I came to learn that there are no products out there with postbiotics, but a few with prebiotics and probiotics. This meant that I could really create something new to lead this space.
This packaging needed to have it’s own category, and still compliment the existing Celavive product lines. The light sage green color was chosen to reinforce that the product is calming and soothing. The label needed to be re-designed to fit all the educational marketing copy. Keeping the logo vertical was the best way to keep consistency with the existing products, and gave it enough room for the additional copy.
Celavive already has a reputation for being premium. This being in the Celavive category, but a lower-priced product, I wanted this to feel elevated through the small details:
- Spot UV on the packaging.
- Custom icons and pattern specific to this line.
- Seamless pattern design around the interior and exterior of the box.
After multiple revisions, press checks, translations, and approvals, the first product successfully launched at USANA’s 2023 Convention. The other 3 products are to be released in upcoming months.
